SAP Usage Analysis

Usage Analyzer draws on live statistical usage data from your system as well as an internal database to provide data at the user, user group, license, and transaction levels. The internal database maintains a minimal footprint by only creating one table entry for each user/transaction execution.

Monitor and Remediate Compliance Risks

Internal audit and IT security teams can remediate compliance risks or re-architect your security model based on actual SAP transaction usage during a given period. Risk Analyzer's easy to understand reports provide real-time insight allowing you to:

  • Report on transactions executed by user or a group of users
  • Identify unused roles assigned to users
  • Identify unused transactions in roles

Reverse Business Engineering (RBE) Data from SAP Systems

In a process known as Reverse Business Engineering (RBE), an SAP usage analysis can be leveraged to provide insights into your SAP system. The insights gained can be applied to many areas within the business:

  • Streamline business processes
  • Remediate compliance risks
  • Save time and money by properly scoping upgrades
  • Plan effective training
  • Maximizing SAP license usage

Develop Effective Training and Testing Programs

With Usage Analyzer you can analyze data and report on transaction executions from statistical records stored within your SAP systems. By assessing the number of user executions or statistical volume you can then prioritize the reports and transactions most useful for training and testing.

Reduce Project Costs and Timelines

ControlPanelGRC Usage Analyzer enables your SAP team to prepare for upgrade projects effectively by comparing currently used transactions with future transactions in the upgraded system. You can also identify unused custom programs so they can be removed from the upgrade scope. This RBE information can be used to establish project scope and better manage project planning, saving time and resources over the life of the project.
